New Hampshire Marijuana License
New Hampshire allows medical cannabis only, through a small number of state-registered alternative treatment centers (ATCs). No new ATC registrations are available.
Overview
New Hampshire legalized therapeutic cannabis in 2013. The Department of Health and Human Services runs the Therapeutic Cannabis Program, which registers patients and the alternative treatment centers (ATCs) that grow and dispense cannabis.
The state limits the number of ATCs, and all available registrations are held by existing nonprofit operators with several dispensing locations. Adult-use bills have been debated but haven't become law, and 2026 bills on ATC products (such as SB 650) didn't pass.
