Nevada Marijuana License
Nevada allows adult-use and medical cannabis. The Cannabis Compliance Board licenses cultivation, production, distribution, testing, retail and consumption lounges, and opens new application periods only occasionally.
Overview
Nevada legalized medical marijuana in 2000 and adult-use cannabis in 2016. The Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB) took over licensing and enforcement in 2020.
Most retail, cultivation and production licenses are held by existing operators, and new application periods are rare. The most recent opportunity has been consumption lounge licenses, with at least half of the first independent lounge licenses reserved for social equity applicants.
